Had the first doctor’s appointment today. All went well!
Baby measured just as big as he/she should have. We didn’t get to hear the heartbeat, but we did get to “see” it pulsating on the ultrasound. I think starting at the next appointment, you get to start hearing it. Of course, we got a print out of the baby and it’s definitely at the “gummi bear” look-a-like stage.
I think the baby is a girl. Why? No reason other than this pregnancy is different than my pregnancy with Phinehas, so the difference must be that the baby is a different sex, right? Who knows? It’s anyone’s guess at this point.
I’m not super tired like I was last time, although I am hungry all.the.time. I don’t hate meat like I did last time and I’m super into fruit these days – eating at least 2 apple or oranges every day. That isn’t typical for me.
Haven’t gained any weight yet (but I don’t think I did with the Phinehas at this stage either yet). And there isn’t any swelling or anything to indicate that I’m pregnant. I’m sure it will happen at some point!
Official due date is October 20th. That will make our munchkins 18 months apart. October 20th is also my father’s birthday. He passed away in a car accident in 1987, so part of me thinks it would be wonderful to have another boy, born on his birthday. That’d be pretty neato! But we’ll be thrilled whichever gender pops on out!
