Hey Jayme! Haven’t visited your blog in awhile — but I just caught up on your journey. I noticed a lot of, “it wasn’t as bad as I thought,” and “it wasn’t what I feared it would be…” Amazing how our minds latch on to the negative possibilities instead of the positive! Yeah, once we were more established in the relationship, he just paid. And certainly by the time we were engaged, he just paid. Who cared? His money was about to become my money. And my money was about to become his money. But those first few weeks, there was some awkwardness around “is this a date or not?” I just look back on it and smile!

Lesson learnt. I usually just allow the guy to pay for all meals once we’ve gone for a few dates. However, I like the idea of not putting him under that pressure.

Some of it depends largely on the individual person. Half the people in the u.s. are allergic to gluten, but we eat it anyway. What are your goals to eating healthy? Weight loss? Clearing up acne? Digestive track issues? I can help with most answers.

That was Jeff’s thought too – they can’t very well kick a parent out! If we had other kids at home, it might make sense for one of us to go back home, but since our only child will be there, I think our plan is to both stay there, even if it means one of us is sleeping in a chair!

We will be praying! Both my girls have spent two nights at Children’s; Norah for severe jaundice and Pippa for a serious mastitis infection when she was a few weeks old. It’s an excellent hospital, and the staff is very nice. Both James and I spent every night with both girls and no one said “Boo” to us; I can’t imagine that they would ask either of you to leave, and if anyone tried I would politely refuse.

Super! I was waiting for a final product of some sort. Great idea. Loved that you just let him do whatever when you were taking his pic. Makes it much more interesting and fun.
