We lost power some time last night. Woke up a wee bit chilly. We dressed the baby up in 2 pairs of pajamas. We waited for the power to come back on. When it got to 58 degrees in the house, we decided it was time to leave. It’s almost 2:30 p.m. and it’s still not back on. I had no idea how much I appreciated electricity!
- It keeps us warm.
- It helps us see inside the house.
- It warms our water.
- It prevents our food from spoiling.
- It heats our food.
- It keeps hundreds of dollars of food frozen in our deep freeze.
- It starts our snow blower (the pull start feature doesn’t work for us.)
So, we’re holed up at my sister’s house. Because she’s got power. Because she’s nice like that. Praying that it will be back on before bed tonight. But I’ll always appreciate power!
